OurFamilyGrid didn't start as a business — it started because I was tired of our family's life being spread across ten different apps. A calendar here, a shared list there, bank statements somewhere else, appointments scribbled on paper. I wanted one place that actually understood how a household runs, so I built it for my own family first — me, my partner, and our daughter: the calendar, the tasks, the finances, the car's MOT reminders, the garden, and — most recently — trip planning, all in one login.
Once it worked for us, I opened it up so other families could use it too. There's no investor, no ad network, and no data being sold on — it's UK-hosted, GDPR-compliant, and free, because I'd rather build the tool I actually wanted to exist than chase growth metrics. If it helps your household half as much as it's helped mine, it's done its job.

We built this for our own family first. It was never a way to collect and sell yours.
Your password vault is protected by a key derived from your own login — not a shared secret sitting on our server. We couldn't read it even if asked to.
No ad trackers, no data brokers, no "free" business model that pays for itself by selling you out. Your data is used to run the app for you — full stop.
Run by one family for other families, on UK servers, under UK data protection law.
Every household gets a free password vault — plus a companion Chrome extension that autofills and copies your saved logins on any site, without switching tabs.
All of this is included, for every family, for free.
OurFamilyGrid is, and will stay, free — no trial, no card, no catch. Running the servers isn't free on our end though, so if you'd like to chip in whatever you can spare, it goes straight toward keeping the lights on for every family using it.
